Availability, Reservations & Deposit

Surf Tours Nicaragua often sells out in advance, so it is advisable to make your reservations as early as possible. Please confirm Availability before purchasing your flight. Prices do not include airfare.

A deposit of $200 per guest is required to hold your reservation. Reservation Deposit payment can be made via Paypal using all major credit cards or by all other available Paypal options. Just click the “paynow” button on the “contact us” page to make your deposit payment.

Payment of Balance Due

Full payment of balance due can be made via Paypal prior to arrival, or MUST be made in cash upon arrival. If you decide to pay your balance due via PayPal, we will add a 5% transaction fee to your invoice (PayPal charges 5% for the international transaction/transfers). You must send us an email request to pay via PayPal prior to arrival if you choose that payment method, and in turn you will receive an invoice.

Travel and Flight Information

Please book your flights to and from Managua, Nicaragua (airport code MGA). Final booking of your flight is not necessary before making your Reservation Deposit. Upon final booking, please send your flight information and we will pick you up at the airport upon arrival. You must bring your valid passport to enter Nicaragua. All guests are responsible for proof of citizenship documents. Note: Your ID must have at least six months remaining before expiration to be valid.

Cancellation Policy

At Surf Tours Nicaragua, we are so committed to providing you with an extraordinary experience that we guarantee the quality of our service. We value the relationship we have with each guest and want it to be mutually rewarding and last a lifetime.

Below are the guidelines if you must cancel your adventure:

We do not offer cash refunds. There is no refund for arriving late or leaving an adventure early. Deposits are non-refundable, but can be applied to another adventure within one year.

Exceptions to our policy cannot be made for any reason, including weather or personal emergencies. Surf Tours Nicaragua strongly recommends purchasing Travel Protection Insurance through your travel agent. If Surf Tours Nicaragua must cancel an adventure, all payments received to date will be refunded, which constitutes full settlement. You may reschedule, with no penalty, to go on another Surf Tours Nicaragua adventure within one calendar year from the date of payment. Surf Tours Nicaragua is not responsible for expenses incurred in preparation for any canceled trips, such as airline tickets, or for costs incurred due to travel delays, flight cancellation or illness.

Discounts

We offer a 10% discount for all returning guests the first time they return and 20% off for every trip after that, or more if you bring a group, please contact us for more information.

Discounts cannot be combined with other offers or discounts.

Who Are We Looking For?

Surf Tours Nicaragua takes on new team members year-round for both short and long term contracts. All positions include full room and board and surfing opportunities. The ability to drive stick and some Spanish is highly desirable, as well as necessary vaccinations.

Skills in areas such as web/graphic design, SEO, Internet marketing, advertising, construction, first aid, musical talent, yoga, mechanics, photography, boating, education, cooking, fishing, fiberglass repair, landscaping, bartending, love for animals, massage therapy, nutrition, organized sports, agriculture, sewing, art, woodworking, information technologies, language, customer service and more…are all desirable traits.

There is a steady stream of people from all walks of life coming to stay with us as guests, friends, and staff. We look for applicants who demonstrate a genuine interest in the country of Nicaragua, the sport of surfing, are engaged, open minded, and have some experience in a communal living situation.

We are looking for full time MANAGERS for 2011 / 2012-

Job Description:
-Managing Staff at a small 9 person capacity hotel.
-Managing experienced kitchen staff, inventory, and shopping for weekly supplies.
-Oversee maintenaince of 3 landcruisers, small motor boat, and pool.
-Daily, Weekly and Monthly accounts.

Preference:
-Responsible person or couple who are able to enjoy the beauty of our beach front location but also have the ambition to run a succesful and very competive surf camp. Customer satisfaction is our main goal and we depend on our staff to ensure that is met.  Must speak Spanish and English, meet most or all of the requirements listed above plus commit for the whole season.

A Day In The Life

We pick-up and drop-off our guests at the airport ourselves (ability to drive stick is helpful here), or if the number of guests is too large we may hire a taxi in addition. The airoport in Managua (MGA) is where our guests fly into, which is 1.5 hours away from our operation.

The guests arrive and after being shown their rooms usually get straight into the water. We run up to three trips a day to the various breaks within the area based on the guest’s wants, and our surf guides decide where they go based on conditions and/or surfing abilities. Some guests only want one or two sessions per day; others are hardcore and want to be out all day. When not surfing, the guests hang out around the camp; it is a remote place with no tourist infrastructure yet, so there are no quaint cafes, tourist shops, ect. There is a small village to walk around in and interract with the local community, but few if any sights to see. A big part of any job at camp is customer service; hanging out with the guests. We serve three meals daily, as well as a pre-dawn patrol coffee/cereal nosh, which are served buffet style and which everyone eats at the same time.

A Note On The Area

We are pretty isolated, which is what makes our paradise so wonderful, but can also wear on people who are used to the hustle of the western world. We have limited phone and internet access at the camp, but the majority of communication must be done in town (Leon which is 45 minutes away). You will of course be given opportunities to go into town as well as days off but it is super important that you are aware that this is in no way a daily occurrence.

We try not to take ourselves too seriously, but…seriously, we work pretty hard. The compensation is that we also play hard.
