Schedule

day 1

Arrival in Managua

Casa La Barra will be waiting for you at the airport to welcome you to Nicaragua and transfer* you to our boutique oceanfront paradise, located in Playa Miramar.

Upon arrival, you will be shown the property and meet the staff. Your luggage will be taken to your already AC-cooled room, so unpack, change, and go barefoot style for the duration of your stay.

Jump in the Pool, crash in a hammock, beach walk, or ask for a shore fishing rod to try your fishing skills. During the dinner, the guide will explain the Surf Training itinerary and activities included.

day 2

Playa Miramar

While Staying at Casa La Barra every morning starting at 5 AM, we will have Fresh local coffee, Fruit, Cereal, Fresh Baked Banana Bread for your enjoyment. Your surf itinerary will begin at this point for the duration of your trip.

While staying in Playa Miramar guests will receive surf lessons/ Surfing Introduction, safety, paddling, and techniques on how to catch waves.

Lessons Include: Practice on the beach and practice in the water

day 3

Surf & Fish

Volcano Ash Boarding

Surf & Estuary Sunset Booze Cruise in Playa Miramar / Puerto Sandino

This is the middle of the trip day, so you will start off with a morning surf, beach or pool day and early afternoon surf followed by our traditional estuary booze cruise into the mangroves of Puerto Sandino.

day 6

Masaya Shopping & Granada

This is a full day 7 AM to 7 PM where you will hop a micro bus with a professional tour guide taking you to Masaya the arts and crafts market a wonderful Nicaraguan shopping experience followed by a full tour of Granada with lunch provided.

Adios to our New Amigos

Anyone can learn to surf

Ready to ride your first wave? You don't need any surfing experience—just a sense of adventure! Our beginner-friendly surf lessons are designed to get you standing up, smiling, and catching waves in just a few days. With warm tropical water, uncrowded beaches, and patient, certified instructors, you'll learn in a safe and supportive environment while having an incredible time. Every lesson is tailored to your ability, so you'll progress at your own pace with plenty of encouragement along the way. Before you know it, you'll be riding waves, making new friends, and creating unforgettable memories on Nicaragua's beautiful Pacific coast.

Our surf instructors are highly experienced professionals with extensive teaching backgrounds both in Nicaragua and internationally. We are committed to delivering surf instruction of the highest standard, with a strong emphasis on safety, progression, and professional guidance. Each lesson is carefully structured and adapted to the ability level of the participants to ensure effective learning in a supportive environment. We consistently select the safest and most appropriate surf locations based on daily ocean conditions, allowing guests to learn with confidence and peace of mind. Spend 6 nights at our Nicaragua surf resort on Punta Miramar, a spacious beachfront compound that guests often describe as “beautifully relaxed,” “perfectly located,” and “ideal for a surf escape.” The property features 7 private ensuite rooms, each with air conditioning, new beds, and modern comforts that make it easy to unwind after a day in the waves.
